not quite pretty, cynical, and dissatisfied with nearly everything. she rented an apartment in paris for a month- called me every other day to say how lonely it was. I wonder if she ever found the adoring audience she wanted.
that characteristic seems to lend itself to this tiny story format, which I'm happy about, because for years, other poets have chided me about this tendency of mine to want to wrap it up at the end of a poem! Usually, I have to work to resist it...it's lovely to be able to able to take the path of least resistance for once! :^)
I'm a cook. And I write, sometimes about food, mostly poems. I make stuff. I get lost. I'm worried about vanishing bees, melting icecaps, the decrease of civility in the world, seedless watermelons, and whether there will be enough time for me to get it all right.
