busker who plays a homemade cross between a banjo & a sitar at the farmer's market, made of scraps & looks as hillbilly as they come. but the music! haunting & exotic...deep & dirty & low-down blues threaded through like embroidery on a saree.
yup, wow is right! he's amazing...and as soon as i can manage it, i'm going to have him make me one of those things...he makes them and sells them when he can. even though i have absolutely no idea how to play it...or any other stringed instrument! he calls it a harp.
I'm a cook. And I write, sometimes about food, mostly poems. I make stuff. I get lost. I'm worried about vanishing bees, melting icecaps, the decrease of civility in the world, seedless watermelons, and whether there will be enough time for me to get it all right.
