years ago...had a vegetarian breakfast & went vintage shopping with him, dennis, & nina,after she met him @ a conference, & they were inseparable for a day or so. he was one of those combo hipster/nerds. way too cool for us.

me too. but this was way pre-this american life. he also told us that he was the former boyfriend of cathy guiswaite, the cartoonist who had the cathy cartoon? (maybe still does?) if you look back at old ones, the boyfriend is indeed, named ira.
